I've made this complaint many times since the LCD display became the standard. I have a 19" monster CRT at home. I run this at 1920x1440. Even with a 24" LCD, I will take a hit in screen real estate and loose desk space as well. I've used systems that had 2 or 3 17" LCDs, but that works best if you have 2 or three data streams you want to monitor as you still have a limit on maximum usable window size.
The part of this that is the most galling is that I own an 8 year old laptop with a 15" display that natively supports 1600x1200. Why can't someone put that display in a stand-alone unit? A 19" LCD panel that came anywhere close to 1920x1440 would be a product I would buy.
