Latter half of the week.

We finally got some decent rain last night (Saturday). Good solid thunderstorm, 1.6 inches of rain in less than an hour. The peak rate was 3 inches an hour. The bad part is I was riding a motorcycle home through it for almost an hour. I'll still take it we need another one really.

I did my first solo kayaking on Friday. Not that it's a big achievement just I usually go out with a partner. I just went around Hiland lake and Halfmoon lake. I found that the path that goes to the saloon in Hell that I had hoped we could eat, and maybe at some point that's also the way that goes down a creek that leads to Portage Lake and the Huron river, goes over a dam and the visibility was crap down there. Without a partner I stopped about 50 feet from the dam, I'll go back on foot from the other direction to scope out if it's a do-able portage.

The lakes were nice and deserted, I assume everyone's planning to be out on the weekend instead. I'm not sure I even want to be on the lakes the 1st through 4th, likely to be a lot of drunk idiots in powerboats.

Saturday was SEMGS and excellent pizzas were made and eaten. I have 3/4 of a very tasty crumb top pie to get through now though...

The platelet+plasma donation on Thursday went very well, I talked with the nurse about the pain I'd been having in my left arm during them and she tried bracing it up so it didn't extend all the way, and that did the trick. Also when it's plasma as well it's faster, about 110 minutes on the machine.

Wednesday was an FCB concert at Belle Isle. It was nice, air quality was not great but not as bad as it has been.

The PurpleAir AQI sensor came in Thursday, I installed it on the garage. It's another interesting data gathering thing.
