July 4 on the river

SOOO many people on the river. All either on tubes or rented canoes and kayaks. We weren't really pushing it but we were passing dozens of people. Happily they were all pretty cool. Sometimes especially in the river through A2 there are huge rafts of drunk college students on tubes. My favorite was the african-american extended family on a huge number of tubes bound together with a big raft with coolers on it in the middle, smoking and baked, they were very friendly and cool, living it right.
