Very interesting to read this ancient epic and to hear firsthand the origins of many of our later myths.

This is an excellent version IMO, the author's notes are interesting as well.

I would like to hand this to every young person thinking about any kind of a scientific or even professional technical career, maybe as a senior in high school.

It's full of IMO excellent advice, like "don't worry if you're not good at math. You can still be an excellent scientist."

Mythbusters Live!

K, a friend of T's and I went to see Adam and Jamie in Kalamazoo last night along with Tulio. Unfortunately the friend wound up developing a migrane and left to lie down in the car after the first 1/4 of the show, for which I was sad, but it was a lot of fun regardless.
