That's what I thought

Even with the meds, my BP had crept up to borderline again. Riding the bike today was a bit of an experiment in this regard as well.

My BP right now is 115/76, lower than it's been in 2 weeks.

I'd started to lift some weights again, but stopped for a few days until the bumps and bruises subside.

Checked BP at the weekend and it had fallen to 125/65, so pretty happy with that bearing in mind my age and not-terribly-fitness....

P's is still lower than mine, but then it always has been.

It seems just those few extra pounds off and a bit mor exercise really pays dividends for me - at the moment, anyway.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind losing 20 pounds myself, but my body seems to bottom out at about 185 these days.

I've been pretty stable mostly between 195 & 202 the last 18 months. At 196 at the moment, would like to settle between 5 & 10 pounds lower if I could to keep my bmi around 22, middle of normal range. Frankly I'll be content to stay under 200 all the time except for occasional holiday excursions. At least sunset is now well after 4pm and sunrise will soon be as early as 8am so more exercise opportunities soon...

I creep up to 195 if I don't do anything for weeks at a time. I am currently at 185. I haven't had any soda to speak of for a couple of weeks (one bottle last weekend) so that's several thousand calories right there.

Of course, I just turn around and eat that much more anyway.
