Photos from Meijer Gardens

When we headed out to Meijer Gardens to see butterflies, I grabbed the SLR. It's just the right tool; (near)zero shutter delay, instant zooming, etc. Definitely the right tool to grab when your subjects are lighting for 5 seconds, and their wings are opening and closing once a second. The most recent photo on it was from Christmas, and before that, Halloween. I should probably use it more.
But it's only got a 1GB card in it, which limits me to a bit less than 400 photos. OK, that's enough for a day's shooting, but not a week or two, and I'd rather not take a laptop with me on vacation to offload photos. I've gotten spoiled by the 8G SD card in the little camera. But I did buy an 8G CF card for the Zen Micro a few months back. I'm not using the Zen anymore since I got a 1G, $10 player which is more than enough, so tonight I took the 8G card out of the MP3 player and put it in the SLR, reformatted it, and should have room for 3000 photos or so. If I didn't already have that, I would have picked up an SDHC to CF adaptor that would allow me to use SD cards in the SLR, they're about $25 and if I'm going to buy any more memory, it'll be SD.
Hot bug-on-bug action - The rest of the photos are here.
