Apparently I've been at my current job for 15 years. I got an email from some robot in corporate with a link to a canned rewards website where I can take my pick from about a dozen crappy things I do not want.

At 10 years we got a clock that, while plastic, looks pretty good. Unfortunately, it also destroys batteries in about 6 weeks, so I'm probably going to have to spend $20 putting a new movement in it (it's taken me 5 years to decide to do something about it other than switch to rechargables and change them every month).

You can see the reward items all the way up to 40 years. Honestly, even at 40 years the swag isn't all that good; I'd say it's probably valued at about $150. At 15 years, more like $90. Yeah, the increments aren't that big.

They have a 4" reflecting telescope which is certainly garbage, some actually decent binoculars that are identical to a pair I already have, a bunch of cruddy watches, another wall clock, and a cheap digital camera. honestly I might get the camera and give it to one of the kids. Either that or just find the most ebayable thing and get that.

For my five-year thing I selected a pair of binoculars which only had the company logo on the case. This was immediately removed.

Unfortunately the binoculars aren't worth carrying with me, as they do less magnification than my 100mm camera lens.
