Thanksgiving
Nov. 22nd, 2007 05:34 pmHad J's mom over for an afternoon feast. Lots of good stuff to eat. Just enough excuse to get around to cleaning the house to some extent, which is good.
I finished listening to Prachett's "Sourcery" - only took a couple of day's commute and about 3 hours while cleaning to listen to it. I actually found it quite good and amusing to listen to, whereas if I were reading it, for whatever reason the style doesn't work as well for me. I think the reader's performance was quite good, he had just the right english accent to really pull off the dry humor properly.
I'll be working a bit from home for the rest of the weekend but probably not leaving the house, other than perhaps digging some bulbs if I feel like getting a bit chilly.
I've about caught up with stuff on the DVR, so I think some Futurama, or perhaps Red Dwarf, enjoyed from under a blanket with some chocolate and milk would be a nice evening.
