Some catchup

I loaded up the MP3 player before I left, and watched some stuff I'd fallen behind on. Mainly I watched all of last season of Dr Who, which I'd only caught parts of while walking through as the kids were watching, and the first couple of episodes of this season.

I also watched An Inconvenient Truth. There was nothing there I haven't seen before so sadly I guess I'm better informed than most people I've talked to, who thought it was a quite surprising film.

By hour 6 or so of the trip home, I'd had enough of watching the 3" screen, and didn't want to read hardcopy either, so I just listened to a few chapters of the audiobook I've been working on.

I must say though, watching video really makes the trip fly. I'm normally incredibly bored by the end of a trip unless I can find a really engrossing book, but this year both trips seemed only to last a couple of hours.

I had a dentist's appointment this morning, just a checkup, all clear, I think 2 years of clear reports now.

I really need to get off my butt and start taking care of stuff around the house now...
