Great blinkie, great price
Jan. 5th, 2009 12:33 pmHeads-up:
The Planet Bike SuperFlash is about the best rear bike blinkie around for < $50. It's very bright, very attention-getting, and runs for a long time on 2 AAA cells (the one on my helmet has been flashing for 45 minutes a day since October on one set).
They're normally $20-$25 at bike shops, but Amazon has the "stealth" version for $12.73. You can get two for a bit over $25 with free shipping.
Note: the plastic is clear, but it flashes red due to red LEDs in it. If you ever bike at night, please think about picking one of these up. If you and a friend do, buy two and enjoy the free shipping. Personally I prefer to run with two blinkies anyway, one solid and one flashing, but having one of these at all will be a good thing.
Also good for runners; it has a clip that you can use to hook it on clothing. I have one on my helmet.
