Balloons album

I realized that I've taken a lot of balloon pics but have hardly posted any for several years. I've gone back through 2006 and posted what I had, and resorted the album based on capture date.

These aren't great, they're snapshots mostly taken out the window at work; Cameron Balloons factory is next door.

My Failblog submission

Saw this in the supermarket today. Double fail; the windows fail and the "TOUCH THE SCREEN" "please do not touch" Yes, I've submitted it to failblog.org.

I took my SLR in to the store mainly because I didn't want to leave it in the car. If this kind of serendipity keeps up I may revert to my old geeky ways; in high school I actually carried an SLR with me most of the time (though for the yearbook back then).

BoingBoing'd again

In case anyone hasn't seen it, dizzy_d's cake made it to BoingBoing and the image is hosted on my server. That's OK though, it's only a 68K image, I'm on pretty wide hosting on a big pipe and the smaller copy directly embedded in the BB article is hosted on craphound. The one that killed me was a couple of years ago when I had an FLV movie from Duckon hosted on a godaddy cheapo plan and got a few hundred thousand hits. Ouch.

This one should be no problem.
