I got a free copy from Mobileread.com.
Giving this away free is brilliant. It's so good I want to go out and buy a few paper copies and give them to schools. Steve K says they should be on the required reading list for high school, and I agree.
It also makes me want to make regular donations to the EFF and ACLU, because it's all too believable. And although I already use encryption a heck of a lot more than any "normal" person, it makes me want to use it even more. I'm wondering if one could write (or if it already exists) a Firefox plugin to automatically switch any connection for domains on a list to https? Unfortunately, the few domains I tried just now are either silent on 443 or autoswitch you back to port 80.
The bibliography at the end is probably a good suggestions list too. I only tried On The Road once, and didn't get very far. Perhaps it's time to try again.
