Nook battery problem
Jun. 23rd, 2011 01:29 pmI found what's probably a bunch of my battery problem on the Nook 2E (and reported it to B&N).
If the unit is sleeping and you click the N button, it starts a "drag to wake up" animation on the bottom of the screen. If you don't touch the screen for a few seconds, it goes back to sleep.
However, if you touch the screen but don't drag across that area, it will sit there running the animation on screen until the battery dies or you do the drag.
So if the N button gets bumped in your purse or pocket and it sits there for 8 hours, it'll take the battery down by about 50% (since it's updating the screen twice a second all that time).
