Moving again

I've decided to come back to LJ as my primary posting location. Nothing wrong with G+ but it is geared towards being primarily social and has little flexibility in formatting. LJ is much better in this regard and I want to post a lot more for documentation and journalling including personal journaling than for social posting.
I may crosspost some stuff (social) to G+, but since there are a lot of things that I only will want to post to LJ and I'm too lazy/forgetful to remember to crosspost everything I should, my G+ activity will probably slack off quite a lot.

No glass for the weekend

Crud, American Science and Surplus didn't ship my glass (ordered Tuesday) until this evening, so I'm not gonna get it until Monday. However, I have other stuff to do, including stuff on the printer (build a plywood enclosure for the power supplies, wind that black ABS onto a spool, etc) so it's just as well.

Today I took a hunk of broken glass and tried out the glass drill bit. Pretty neat, I've never drilled a hole in glass before. Of course, it turns out I bought a drill bit one size too small for a #8 screw so I have to buy another now. Oh well, can't really complain about having more tools.
