Another fine piece of road swag. I found a 3/8" Craftsman ratchet about a week ago on an overpass over I94 while riding to the post office. It had been run over by a few vehicles and the ratchet was broken and seized up, so on Wednesday when I was within 1/2 mile of Sears anyway I dropped by and exchanged it for a new one.

Cheap spares
Jun. 16th, 2012 05:50 pmThe church rummage sale finished up today. I was there helping tear down and box stuff up for Goodwill, and snagged some spares:
Motorola SBG900 cable modem + router + wireless G - works fine as far as I can tell, I reset to defaults and logged in via both RG45 and wireless.
Also found a Gateway keyboard. May take it to Berzerker since I think there are people who like these things. And a handful of USB cables, a couple of ethernet cables, some other random stuff that will sit around for spares next time we or someone around us has a need.
Also got a hunk of new/scrap vinyl flooring I'm going to line the floor of the under-sink area with. I've had that project in mind for 10 years and just never get around to buying material to do it with.
I gave 'em $5 for the lot.
