I put a 1.5T drive into the family PC last night and handed it all to Acronis True Image, then turned on nonstop backup. Once it finishes the initial backup, I'm going to try doing a full system restore to a blank drive from the backup. Theoretically it's the same thing as Apple Time Machine and I should be able to create a bootable drive from the backup reflecting the state at any given time, or go in and pull any previous version of any file I need.
