Pretty good stuff. Very good pacing, I was never bored or feeling that a piece of the story was being neglected. Just the right number of characters for me, I could keep track of everyone but it wasn't too simple. Just the right number of story threads too, and an excellent job juggling them.
Not the best fantasy book I've ever read, but very good and certainly worth continuing. I hope the waiting list for the next book at the library dwindles quickly.
