Cibola Burn by James S.A. Corey
★★★★☆
Really interesting. Lots of incredible scale going on in this book. Also as a subplot, the story includes a psychopath who manages to mimetically infest an entire ship's company with his nutty, murderous ideals. That bit is an interesting study in someone being entirely logical and (in his own mind at least) strictly following laws, yet being utterly immoral.
I'm back to using my Kindle Paperwhite. I found that the tablet holds too many distractions, I get more read and am more satisfied at the end of the day if I have a device that doesn't let me go check twitter or do a crossword puzzle if a momentary shift in the plot triggers my short attention span.
