This is the page-turniest, can't-sleep-must-keep-reading book I've picked up in a while. The first few pages didn't hook me at first but before 20 or 30 pages had gone by, I didn't want to stop.
While reading it I was thinking this is a great windfall as a fan of the Stross's Laundry Files, wishing there were a never-ending series of them to read. But having finished it, I actually like this better than Laundry Files. I'm glad there's another one waiting, though I think I'll wait a bit until I have a chance to catch up on the things I haven't done for the last few days while reading this book.
