Book finished: Babylon's Ashes
Dec. 28th, 2016 07:24 pmBabylon's Ashes by James S.A. Corey
★★★★★
Review Fantastic wrap up to the series (or at least, this part of it). Plenty of action, the same sort of escape from certain doom that you must be fond of by now or you wouldn't still be reading, unexpected turns, etc. There are still only 2 or 3 characters that I actually care about, but they're good enough that it's enough. Bobbie in particular is very present in this series, and is possibly the best character here.
If they get to this book in the SyFy series and can pull it off, it will be absolutely amazing to see some of the battles that are depicted in this book.

New smartwatch
Dec. 28th, 2016 07:30 pmI went out today and picked up a Samsung Fit 2 band. With just an hour of fiddling and a few hours of wearing, I'm not ready to post any significant info about it, apart from that it's extremely comfortable, looks amazing and gorgeous, and seems very accurate for steps, flights of stairs and heart rate. The software is great, though there aren't a whole lot of apps for it yet. I'm not sad to have gotten this instead of the Pebble Time 2 I was expecting to have.
