Camera issues
Jun. 1st, 2017 06:22 pmI finally got around to diagnosing the Sunset Cam (which feeds to Weather Underground). That cam appears to be stone dead.
I have 4 unused analog cams that I can run into the DVR, so I moved the birdcam to the sunset cam position, and will be deploying some of the analog cams for bird cams. I think I will replace the one, add a hummingbird cam, and probably add a pond cam.
I'm thinking at this point I want to push a hunk of large PVC out the side of the house, like 2" diameter, and put a box on it, and use that as a through point for all the cables. I've been half-assing it by shoving ethernet cable out through windows and pressing them mostly closed for months now, time I did it correctly.
