Capricon was quite enjoyable. I got to way more programming than I usually do, though also as normal it was 100% science track. It's been decades since I found a non-science track program interesting enough to go to. Just not interested in world building workshops or spending con time watching media I could watch at home (movie rooms seem like an EXTREMELY outdated concept in this era).
The hotel is nice and despite local claims to the contrary, not expensive. Buying anything outside the hotel is more expensive but not really THAT bad.

Sometime today (Tuesday) or tomorrow I will do a COVID test to confirm I got away from the con clean. The con was 100% masked but not the party suite.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday fighting the bike trainer. I'm trying to get my new cadence sensor up, and also I used the Ant+ connection to the power controller, and it seems like it was unable to control the power (load) values. Back to bluetooth for that I guess. The cadence I think I have figured out but we'll see. On the on-board computer I just added, I think I just needed to turn off the Kickr because it just went with the first cadence sensor it found rather than letting me choose. I don't know why the Kickr claims to be a cadence sensor, all it does is say "0 RPM" constantly. Maybe it's an option.

I'm up to 15 mile routes. My hope is to be able to do two 20 mile routes at least 2 days in a row by late March. Once I get there, I should be able to dial back and do 20 miles once a day 3 or 4 days a week, then a push in mid April then some rest before the Katy trip.
