Well that was fun!

Saturday morning I went up to join Jenn at Interlochen where she was in the last rehearsal day of adult band camp. I wandered around the campus for several hours, during which time I determined that both of the things I was hunting for were not there. The Michigan historical marker for Interlochen had been removed for refurbishment (I got a 2nd hand photo of it lying on the ground in the shipping department), and the penny squisher has apparently been gone for a while. I pointed out to Jenn where it used to be and she said that's where the edge of campus used to be, and an old building which has since been replaced. Oh well. We had a couple of meals out, wandered around Traverse City a bit, found some historical markers in addition to the half dozen or so that I found on the way there and back, and squished some pennies. We also had a few meals out. The trip there and back were mostly event free, my bike did tip over once when I stopped to put on rain gear - the kickstand extender I made is a bit too tall. I'll mill it down a bit tomorrow.
