Cue late season ice storm...

I just took the studded tires off my bike. The forecast is stuck on "very nice" through Friday, but I wouldn't bet against ice before O.M. Winter gives up for the year.
Today was my first ride since giving in to the cold last Wednesday. Feels really good; I'm human again. I'm convinced that had I not driven to work for the previous week due to training, I wouldn't have caught the cold.
Every time I've started to feel like I'm catching a cold this year, it hasn't lasted past the next ride. Other cyclists on bikeforms also report that cycling seems to keep them from getting sick. My current theory is that the cold air irritates the throat and lungs to the point where they start really cranking out the mucous, and that flushes out anything that's trying to take root down there.
I moved the wild rose monster that sprouted up in the corner of our house. That thing is a vampire. Backwards-slanted thorns that dig in more the harder you pull, and boughs that interlock so if you pull, you get more boughs full of thorns hitting you.
I also went rock-picking in the corn field behind the house and got a couple of wheelbarrows full; I've got plans for the pond and need a pile of rocks, and this is the time to get them, before they plant anything.
[Bike Data]
Nokians off, odometer:5208
Went on Nov 28, odometer 3906
Miles on Nokians for winter: 1302
2004/05 mileage on Nokians: 850 (guess) total 2152
Kendas back on, mileage on them = 5208-2152=3056
