Lazy Berzerker

We're leaving for Berzerker in the morning. I haven't been for I think 2 years, though I'm not sure.
I actually don't have much planned. At this point I think that what I actually need is to go somewhere and NOT have anything to do. For the last year or so I haven't even gone to conventions without having some obligations. So maybe it's not bad that I'm kind of planning to just walk around and assist, take pictures and video, and generally sit under the pavilion, bullshit with people and read books.

I have a few little things. I have ideas for bigger things but those are for next year. I was thinking about buying a new pistol to go shoot at tin cans but I didn't get to the store in time for the permit.

I have thrown almost all of the episodes of Firefly onto my phone. I've never seen a minute of it before so I figure 20 hours in the car is a good chance to see what the big deal is. I also have about 15 books in the phone and also on the ereader so I can do that. And I have a few hours of tutorials for a piece of software I need to get up to speed on. I have a few movies in the "should have seen but haven't" category on the laptop. All told I probably have twice as much just in media than I need. I don't plan to use any of the non-text media on the sands though.

Current weather forecasts say sunny and 86F, so I'll need to adjust my projects to allow for the amount of work that can be done in the heat.

I suspect the ice cream will be especially appreciated this year.

I've thought about trying a different recipe for ice cream. The one we've been using is, honestly, really horrible ice cream. It's basically just frozen milk and some sugar. But I don't know that I care that much.
