Busy, then nothing

Seems like I have days full of things then days with nothing. I guess this is OK, the nothing days are good for recovery.
Last Friday was a funeral for an aunt. She was 93, and the mother of the cousin I was closest to as a kid. It was a good service and I saw a few people I hadn't seen in quite a while.
I went over Thursday, stopping in Battle Creek on the way to walk around the town and see a few historical places. The Sojourner Truth statue is quite good. I took a "no expressways" route and enjoyed that a lot. Any time I'm not in a hurry I'm going to try to do that. Way better than pounding along a vast slab of concrete at 75 MPH with nothing but trees and billboards to look at.
My niece is in town from Arizona, with kids and dog. So I got to see them too. My brother bought a new pickup and 5th wheel camper, so that's where I slept. Nice accommodations.
I've been occasionally getting out on the kayak with friends. A week ago we did a segment between Island Lake state park and Huron Meadows metropark. We got a late start and misjudged the distance, pulling out at 10PM well into dark. I was more than a little nervous since that section of the river has many downed trees and getting over them can be difficult even in daylight. The current wasn't too bad though so we got through it.
I've been trying to get back into yoga, but the classes in Chelsea are full up, and the classrooms in Dexter have a noisy air handling system and I can't really hear the instructor - the air handler seems to be making noise in the frequencies that my tinnitus doesn't already cover up.
Out Loud Chorus finished their spring concert. We have a few summer things, the first I did was Ypsi Pride, which I had to buzz over to right after the funeral. That was fun. We were a LOT of people on the outdoor stage, and dynamics were kind of out the window with the crowd and the wind and being outdoors, but it was still fun. The event was cool too, many hundreds of people. I was smiling the whole time.
The church rummage sale is prepping as I type. We got all our stuff over to them so there's a good chunk less junk in our spaces. The GT cargo trailer is empty now and ready to move north in July.
