Wow, worse than I thought

Palin apparently didn't know that Africa was a continent, and staffers pretty much predicted Katie Couric's interview questions and thought they were NOT out of bounds, but Palin refused to listen to their suggestions to prepare for the interview at all.

(Possibly willful) ignorance and willfully ignoring and even snubbing the people who are supposed to be helping you make better decisions; sounds familiar, doesn't it? Though she seems to have taken it to a new level.

It's pretty scary that someone like that even got anywhere NEAR being VP.

I read that in the NYT, and thought it was amazing that she'd made it as far as she had. Thank god that team didn't get elected. It feels like we've already had enough years of celebrating mediocracy. If we're really lucky, she'll end up on an ice floe before 2012.
