A number of years ago, tceisele wrote an article for Pyro entitled "Put not your trust in PVC".
As a belated counterpoint, I now draw everyone's attention to the PVC Plans website.

Some of those are, indeed, very nice. Although, I will point out that most of them are not depending on the PVC being more than marginally strong, stiff, heat-resistant, or electrically insulating, and in a few cases you can see the PVC pipe sagging slightly under its own weight . . .
