UPDATE: Diebold, but NOT touch-screen
Nov. 7th, 2006 08:11 amVoting in our location is with Diebold Accu-vote systems - which is the old mark/sense, IMHO the pinnacle of voting technology.
They also have an assist machine that blind/etc people can use to print a premarked ballot.
The election workers that I talked to also hope that we never go to touch screen. I think it's pretty unlikely, everyone is very happy with this system and touch-screen is finally getting a widely known bad name.
