What's in my Zen. About 10 hours of Bach, Weird Al, NPR podcasts, indie rock, punk, olde-tyme country (IE Hank Williams), blues (especially older stuff; Blind Willie McTell, etc), Rachmaninov. For Jazz right now I have some Brubeck and a few others, some world stuff from India and Africa that a friend recommended, Louis Armstrong of course, John Coltrane, plenty of rock stuff, Rush, I'm working on getting more Motown into it now.

About the only thing not represented is new country stuff. I don't have much use for most of that, though I do like a few songs, I haven't listened to it enough to know. And honestly the hit rate is so low and the "non-hits" so bad that I'm generally not up to getting hit with the metaphorical "bad song" stick in order to find a few decent songs. Most of the stuff I hear in the genre is either whiny or way too kitchy or trying 20% too hard to be funny.

Also it's got a few documentary videos on at any given time so I can watch them at lunch. Plus I've got a couple of Kurosawa films I haven't gotten around to watching yet, in case I get a couple of hours sometime.

I think I should have gotten the 60G unit instead of 30... But you have to pick and choose, at least until Creative comes out with that terabyte player.

The bad part is I don't get that much time to listen to it all. Really only at work. I tried listening to stuff when on the road, but I quickly found out that listening to NPR during the commute was all the news I got, and after a couple of weeks I realized I had no idea what had happened in the last 2 weeks. So commute time is news time for me. I do listen to the radio and podcasts when working at home, but with just one earbud so I can hear if someone wants me, and that leaves out music.
