Stormy weather
Aug. 27th, 2007 08:53 amSo Friday night, J & L were at the Tigers game, which had 4 hours of rain delay, and they didn't get home until 5 AM. T and I went to TKD and then out to grab some lumber for the basement and a present.
We came home to no power. Read for a little while, then went to bed. "I'll start the generator if the power isn't on by morning." About 11PM, the neighbor knocked on the back door and informed me that we'd had a VERY close lightning strike; he lost his projection TV and maybe other stuff, and had an electrical outlet physically blown out of a wall. I decided I'd better get a head start on what our damage was, so I got out the generator and started in.
