More AFA idiocy
Sep. 6th, 2007 07:56 amThese people are so full of themselves. According to this, Ford's economic troubles are entirely due to the AFA's boycott. If true, it means the AFA is singlehandedly wrecking the economy of the state. (OK, that's an exaggeration, and besides, it's not true)
Of course, they don't mention Ford's move to back off severely on fleet sales, or the fact that they don't have a huge incentive plan in place like they did last year, or the fact that Chrysler lost over last year too, in fact their fleet sales are down 20%.
They CERTAINLY don't mention that, apart from these emails, I've NEVER heard of this boycott, or the stuff they're complaining about, and nobody I've asked at our church has heard of it either.
BTW, we ordered a new Ford this week (a Fusion). Nice car with decent mileage. We were going for a Focus but late availability of the options we wanted pushed us up a notch.
( AFA's self-aggrandizing email behind the cut )
