The kids have a snow day today. That means I get to ride my bike to work. It's kind of unfortunate that I'm only able to ride on the crappiest weather days, but I'll take what I can get.
The gravel roads were really quite horrendous. I had to walk up almost all the hills, and even going downhill was rough due to the snow ruts, and the snow covering up some really bad potholes and ruts in the road itself. No problem at all once I hit pavement, though on Baker I did have to pull off when there were cars coming in both directions, for a total of probably about 4 minutes.
Still, I feel physically better now than I have in several weeks. I only wish I knew the night before that school would be closed so I could leave earlier, like maybe 4AM, or 5 at the latest.
