Book finished

Somewhat disjointed, starts and ends abruptly. However, this is fine as long as you realize that this is nothing LIKE a stand-alone novel, it's part 1 of a 1-part serialization of a novel. Actually it may be part 3 of a 4-part. Certainly this one is pointless without also reading Against the Odds.
It's really only disjointed in that there's a lot going on, and location/characters shift a lot. That's fine, it always happens in the middle of a complex story, but since this entire book is "the middle of a complex story", it's happening from cover to cover in this book.
