VLC 1.0.0 out
Jul. 8th, 2009 02:29 pmand it includes a Firefox plugin that works for QuickTime. I don't allow Apple's QuickTime on my machines, it's screwed up every Windows install I've ever put it on, sometimes after several years of trouble-free operation.
I figured if it had to be in QuickTime, I didn't really need to see it that badly. Still, VLC works well for it and it's nice to have it available.
I'll try the new version when I get home; my current install won't display video on XviD files (most of my files) until it hits a key frame, which is irritating if you're seeking around on a video at random. Hopefully they've cleaned that up.
