Hmm, interesting
Jul. 10th, 2009 08:45 amFrench guys have written a firmware for a router which cracks the passwords of other neighboring WiFi access points, then randomly routes some of your packets through their connection, thereby obscuring forensic trails.
It sounds cracker-ish, but I think this sort of thing is to be expected when the government tries to put in place the sorts of laws that they're trying to enact there; that you can have your connection terminated simply due to accusation of copyright infringement, with no evidence. While it's not nice to use a neighbor's connection without permission, the simple existance of this sort of thing in the wild gives at least a plausible defense against these charges.
