Book 6 of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy.

Kind of the same thing only different. Definitely not Adams, but not bad either and the characters are pretty consistent, and the humor is along the same lines. I'm as glad he didn't try to exactly emulate Adams, I think that would have failed miserably.

This is bizarre

I'm getting low on fresh material in my ebook reader, so I went up and browsed the Hugo winners.

And found that I'd already read 3 of the 5 2009 nominees for best novel, and I just started Little Brother. This is weird because normally I have never heard of the books in the list, and have often never even heard of the author - I'm usually running about 10 to 20 years behind in reading stuff. I'm just now starting Incarnations, for instance (or will be, as soon as I finish Moby Dick). Guess I better check the library for a copy of Anathem, though in general I've not been a huge Stephenson fan.
