Nothing to be said, it's Twain, and it's very good. I'm recapping the lecture on it right now, though the lecture doesn't bring anything forward that isn't clear in the novel itself.
I wish Piers Anthony could write author's notes 1/10th as good as Twain. Twain's author's notes are not to be skipped.
