Bandwidth dropped
Apr. 25th, 2011 08:23 pmThe speed with the limiters on seemed fine over the weekend, so I called and had them drop the rate down to 1M/128k for $19.95/month. Other than my downloads taking an extra few hours, which I really don't care about since I rarely want to watch them even the same day that I start them, I don't think there'll be much difference.
The first guy transferred me to a retention specialist as soon as he found out I was REDUCING my services. The retention guy offered to drop my bill from $55/month to $35/month for 12 months, but I said "nah, I've decided that this speed is good enough, and $35 is still more than $20." He actually didn't argue or push, and he didn't try to upsell me cable and phone services, so that's a plus.
