I should be careful what I wish for. After complaining about All Clear being too long and complex, this book was too short and straightforward. The whole thing is just one event, no new characters to speak of, and it's over in maybe 10 hours of story time. There's no mystery or suspense at all, and the writing is honestly not very good. It reads like a rough draft. This is in comparison to previous Artemis Fowl books, I realize it's a young adult title. But even in that light, it's not very good. It is a popcorn read though and it's clearly setting up for future books so if you're going to stick with the series, you should read it.
