Well, OK, I read it. It's an interesting tale but I don't know what to think that it had to say. I suppose in 1969 it may have had something to say about gender roles, but to me today that doesn't mean a lot, it was a big "so what."
I think what I will take from it is the relationship between Genly Ai and Estraven and their trek across the ice.
