I'm always complaining that nobody makes monitors with good resolution anymore, size seems to be all that matters.
Today I got a sales flier from Newegg and jumped on a HANSpree 1080p monitor; 21.5" 1920x1080, with all the discounts, $110 shipped. 21.5" is larger than I'd prefer but at least the resolution is good, and it has VESA mounting holes so I should be able to bolt it to the wall.
It's going into the lab. I was just going to move my main computer down there but that didn't work out, but I do need a development system down there.
I came close to ordering two of them to replace both of the monitors on my normal desktop and moving one of those to the lab, but I need to watch my pennies for a while right now.
johnridley: (Nook)
I took the Nook feed out of my RSS feed set. Mostly they're giving discounts on crappy books, or they're touting apps for a platform I don't own. Every Friday they give away a crappy book I'll never read, and which will clutter up my library pages until I remember to archive it.
It'll probably be a heck of a long time until I buy another book from B&N, because I have probably 2 or 3 years worth of reads already on my machine.
