I've been pulling the SXSW torrents for several years now. There's always good stuff in there (of course, also mediocre stuff). But it's plenty to keep you going for months. And it's all free.

Preparing for expected crankset failure

I've been running on a trashed chain for 2 years and about 5000 miles now. The cassette was a lost cause long ago, but I think it's likely that the crankset will be too. Even if not now, it's cheap and I've had cranksets just die in very short order before, so I just went onto eBay and picked up a new Altus set for $26 shipped.

I'll probably try flipping the chainrings around to try to get another 10K miles out of them, but it won't hurt to have a spare crankset sitting around just in case.
