Preparing for expected crankset failure

I've been running on a trashed chain for 2 years and about 5000 miles now. The cassette was a lost cause long ago, but I think it's likely that the crankset will be too. Even if not now, it's cheap and I've had cranksets just die in very short order before, so I just went onto eBay and picked up a new Altus set for $26 shipped.

I'll probably try flipping the chainrings around to try to get another 10K miles out of them, but it won't hurt to have a spare crankset sitting around just in case.
