I have had some issues with my desktop, in that if I hook it to my A/V receiver and change inputs on that around, it causes Windows 10 to blue-screen. So instead I hooked it straight to the monitor. I thought that was going to solve the issue.
Last night I used my bicycle trainer on the big screen, then when I switched inputs to go back to using the Chromecast to watch something else, it rebooted the PC again. But this time the PC was not bootable.
After a bunch of screwing around (hours really) I'm still not really in a good place.
I tried updating to Windows 11, and I have not really given it a chance but I don't think I want to. It's just bizarre looking and I'm not down with it.
I'm going to do a clean reinstall of Windows 10 and see if that behaves any better.
The reason I'm having to take so long is that I have become complacent and had not made any boot images of this PC for many months. That's going to end, I will be doing regular images from here on out.
