Katy trail day 5

We left from the Courtyard in Jefferson City this morning, hoping that today we would find more services, but it didn't happen.
In Mokane we turned north and tackled a very steep hill to reach the reliable but underwhelming Dollar General, where we bought buns and cheese and lunch meat along with chocolate milk and fig newtons for a trailside lunch.
We finished up a 52 mile day in Herman where we are camping at the city park. It is quite loud here with Friday RV camping and a major road a hundred feet away and a gas station and convenience store there as well. Hopefully it will quiet down soon.
We had dinner at El Ranchito, which was ok but the service was extremely slow.
