Wednesday progress
Oct. 4th, 2023 09:19 pmThe guy with roofing experience that was with us for 2 days disappeared today and apparently will not be back (heard 2nd hand). Probably got a better paying gig.
We had FIVE teenagers here today, but we are definitely past the point of diminishing returns, any more kids and even less work will get done. I told them I only need 3 tomorrow. I want them to finish the tear-off on the 3 season room and they'll be done.
It's going to rain tomorrow night and Friday morning so I REALLY hope that we can finish tomorrow. Ann has 2 leads on roofing pros to come and do the 3 season room as a day job. I think I can finish the main house myself tomorrow if nobody is bothering me. Today I taught 4 of the kids how to do the shingling, but in the end the 4 of them were not shingling as fast as I can by myself, AND I had to watch them because they're not up to holding a straight line and handling detail, and I have to be there for course starts, stacks and other stuff like that.
