Friday progress: T-1
Oct. 6th, 2023 07:19 pmWill finish tomorrow. The main house roof is nearly done, just a couple of hours work. Dan from earlier in the week was back for 3 hours today. Unfortunately it rained in the morning so it robbed us of about 4 hours of work. I was able to work from about 11:00 to 7:00 PM when it was too dark.
The 3 season room is cleared and started, I think it is perhaps 4 hours work. The area is fairly small but there is some weaving to do in the valley.
Dan says he'll be back tomorrow. If he is then this will be easily achieved. The guy who we contracted to help finish the house was out today due to his daughter being injured. If he returns, then finishing the house is his job and Dan and I can concentrate on the 3 season room. I'm going to do that anyway and only move back to the house if the other guy doesn't show.
One of the biggest things left to do is to drag the MANY too many bundles of shingles back down off the main roof and get them in my truck to return to Menards. I mean there's like 30+ too many bundles of shingles.
I'm ready to go home, apologize to everyone there and not do anything outside my place until spring.
