Windycon 49 is done
Nov. 12th, 2023 05:52 pmWe're back from the con. Things went pretty well.
It was in a different hotel. It's now a DoubleTree but apparently is a new acquisition by them. The previous owners neglected a lot of maintenance. DoubleTree is working hard to fix things and hope to have a much better hotel for us next year. They were bending over backwards to be nice to the con. It is a pretty good space if they fix the rough edges - and put in some NEW elevators that don't break and aren't slow as hell.
The GT door switch kept crashing, many times. This is the first time that it's done that. The things that were different, new hotel with lousy internet, and a new router. I'll see if I can repro the problem here and fix the code up.
K&T N had a water leak into their bathroom from the floor above.
Apart from that AFAIK things went really pretty well.
I did miss a rehearsal on Sunday that happened while we were on the road coming home.
