Yes, that is indeed the case.

We were looking through 17 years worth of pictures a couple of weeks ago, and she was giving me a hard time about the fact that I still have a picture of her at about age 7 in my cube at work. I told her that I saw the same wonderful little girl whether she was 7 or 17 in the picture. She thought that was weird, but she'll understand some day I think.

In my circles, most kids take a year off after college to attend a yeshive, seminary, or some similar activity in Israel.

My daughter has been living in Jerusalem for two years, but returns to the US for college soon.
